  1. Beautiful slide show. Do you grow Lavatera as an annual? I planted it a couple of times here, but it didn't make it. However, if it's hardy in the Yukon, I ought to be able to grow it in Maine. -Jean

  2. @Jean, yes, I grow Lavatera as an annual. Definitely will not overwinter here. Normally started from seed indoors in early April and planted outdoors mid June. This year we were late getting seeds started, so here we are in August before the Lavatera blooms. But it was worth the wait.
